The second-annual Poverty Action Conference, where innovative students meet development experts, will take place this October 5-6 at the University of Mary Washington.

Neva Morrison, FPW’s managing director, will appear on the expert panel during the conference. Experts will evaluate development project ideas, presented by students, that offer solutions to global poverty.  The conference is organized for students by students, and will allow them to meet with experts in the development field and acquire feedback on their project ideas.

“Poverty affects 100% of Indigenous communities, in some way or another,” said Morrison. “Students are indespensable to alleviating world poverty by thinking outside of the box and tapping into new, innovative solutions.”

The registration deadline for this year’s Poverty Action Conference at the University of Mary Washington is quickly approaching – for more information on registering to attend or present at the conference, please click here.
